SEAT S.A. is a Spanish automobile manufacturer founded in 1950 and currently a fully owned subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group. The company produces passenger cars under the SEAT and Cupra brands and is headquartered in Martorell near Barcelona. SEAT was originally established as part of Spain’s industrial development program and has grown into a major European carmaker with global exports and modern production facilities.
